A fabulous art and yoga holiday in the Algarve countryside. Expert art tuition and daily yoga sessions, immersed in nature. All art materials are provided, along with 4-nights accommodation at Figs on the Funcho. 

This botanical watercolor painting holiday retreat offers an opportunity to improve your artistic skills and enjoy the positive healing effects of nature, with the added bonus of outdoor yoga sessions. Hosted by Figs on the Funcho in a beautiful and tranquil setting surrounded by Algarve nature, this is time to relax, learn and embrace the joy of creativity.

The holiday encompasses three days of painting workshops, with daily yoga sessions.
Sample workshop programme:
Day 1 - focus on classical plant illustrations using graphite pencils and watercolours.
Day 2 - exploring the fusion of watercolours and fine-line pens, experimenting with line thickness and a monochromatic palette.
Day 3 - embracing spontaneity, relying solely on watercolours to capture botanical beauty.

• Art Materials - All art materials: watercolour paints, paper, tracing paper, paint brushes during workshops
• Art Equipment - Use of Plein air easels and tabletop art easels, if required
• Yoga sessions

Figs on the Funcho
Considered one of the best Art Escapes in 2019 by Simon Heptinstall, Figs on the Funcho is a beautiful riverside property just 20 minutes drive from the gorgeous coast. It is peaceful and private, overlooking the River Funcho, and with wonderful vistas across the countryside. The open-air deck, with elevated views and shaded by carob trees, is the studio. Inspiration is all around, in the magnificent sunsets and the trees swaying in the breeze.
