Rota do Petisco 2019 - Tapas Route

A gastronomic journey through the Algarve

Rota do Petisco is the largest and one of the most popular gastronomic events in the Algarve. 

For a whole month, the Algarve may eat tapas! In its 9th year, ‘Rota do Petisco' is growing in size and also in quality. The 2019 event will run from April 24th to May 26th, throughout the region. Along the “gastronomic route” all participating establishments will be challenged to present innovative menus, but with a strong regional focus, featuring traditional snacks and regional desserts.

This year will be the biggest Rota ever! the Tapas Route will travel across the Algarve for 33 days, from coast to coast, in search of delicious food. No less that 303 restaurants and cafes from 12 counties will be waiting to welcome you with a tasty tapa, a good drink and great hospitality. 

Rota do Petisco is a great way to sample a variety of typical Portuguese cuisine, without breaking tha bank!
Simply buy a 'Passport' which is a guide to all the venues and their menus. PRICES
A Passport costing €1.50 (which goes to charity) is needed to participate in the event. 
Tapas-sized dishes and desserts are offered by participating eateries at a cost of €2 to €3 each, including a drink.
