Is there easy and free access to Wi-Fi in the Algarve?

Easy WiFi Internet access in the Algarve is no longer hit and miss. Most establishments offer free internet access when you are a customer such as bars, restaurants and cafés. Bear in mind that signals may be weaker in the hills and away from the larger towns and tourist areas. Many places that offer wi-fi don't always make that information easily visible, so always ask.

Being on the beach doesn't always mean you have to be offline. Some beaches offer public and free wi-fi while most beach bars and restaurants have wi-fi too.

Most hotels and accommodation offer internet access within rooms or public areas, some free, some charged, but while you are out and about there are also some public access points in most of the municipal buildings such as libraries and some supermarket café’s. Larger town centres usually also have an internet café or two where you can find access to a computer.

Intermarche in Carvoeiro has wifi in the shop as well as in the adjacent café.

Some chain restaurants such as McDonalds also offer wifi and are located across the Algarve in Guia (at the shopping centre), Vilamoura and Olhão among others.

At the Forum Algarve in Faro there is wifi access in the food hall area.
