O Barradas Restaurant is a hidden gem in the Algarve countryside, on the way to the historical town of Silves and near to the resort of Carvoeiro. Housed in a charming old farmhouse, O Barradas offers wonderful Portuguese cuisine where the true essence of the ingredients is allowed to shine.
O Barradas Restaurant has a lovely indoor dining room, perfect on winter evenings as the open fireplace heats the room. During the summer months, the garden terrace is a fragant setting for some great food. Run by husband and wife team Luis and Andrea, the food at O Barradas is prepared with patience and skill. The emphasis is on using quality ingredients. Fish freshly caught off the West Coast, meat from animals that roamed the Alentejo plains, and lots of fresh herbs from their own herb garden. The wine list is impressive too, and guests are encouraged to visit the O Barradas wine cellar, where Luis is happy to advise on the best choice to accompany your meal. Special mention for their very own wine production - Quinta do Barradas. All in all, a very lovely dining experience.
